AT&T Championship to run contest for golf fans to play alongside pros at tournament’s Monday Pro-Am

• The AT&T Championship will run a contest today – Oct. 5 giving the public the chance to play with pros
• General public is invited to enter submissions to play in Mon., Oct. 10 Pro-Am beginning today to contests@attchamp.com
• Four finalists will play on Oct. 10 to earn a spot to play in a foursome with one of AT&T Championship’s participating golf professionals

September 28, 2011 (SAN ANTONIO, TX) – The AT&T Championship announced its “Driving with the Pros” contest will return to the tournament for the second year in a row. Beginning today through October 5, the general public has one week to enter the contest, which will allow the winner to play alongside participating golf pros in the event’s Monday Pro-Am Tournament.

In order to enter the contest, interested individuals must email contests@attchamp.com with their name, age and a paragraph that details why the entrant loves the game of golf. Email submissions will be accepted beginning today for one week. The deadline of the contest is Wednesday, October 5.

Four selected finalists will be notified on Friday, October 7, and they will play in a longest drive shoot-out on Monday, October 10. The winning driver will win a spot to play in the AT&T Championship’s Monday Pro-Am.

The AT&T Championship will take place October 10-16 at TPC San Antonio’s AT&T Canyons course. Dates of tournament play are Oct. 14-16. During Snapple Gate Days, admission is free to all spectators, all week.  Parking will be free and located a short shuttle ride away from the course. Please note that no ticket is necessary during practice days and Pro-Amateur events scheduled Monday through Thursday.
